| Q.Is it necessary to login? |
| Ans.There are a few important sections in this site which can be viewed only after you login. The links, search, forum and quiz sections of the site are accessible only after you login. |
| Q. How can I login? |
| Ans.Login is provided for registered users. If you are a registered user then fill in your user id and password in the login window and press enter to login. If you are a new user then fill in the new user registration form and after registration only,you can login in the way as stated above |
| Q.How will you avoid fake registrations? |
| Ans.At the time of registration, a temporary password will be sent to the college mail id of the user(eg.me10407@nitt.edu; if user is me10407).So only the real user will get the password for first login process irrespective of the person who fills the registration form. |
| Q. How do I register ? |
| Ans.After opening the home page of the site you will see the register link in the menu column. You can also register yourself by clicking on the new user link in the login box. |

| Q.Can I create a new section in the forum? |
| Ans. No, a user can neither create a section nor a forum. This is permitted only for moderators. If you feel that a particular forum should be added we welcome your suggestion. You just need to approach your college moderator in this regard and pronounce your request to him/her. List of moderators can be found in Team section of this site. Your suggestions in this regard will be highly encouraged. |
| Q.Can I create new POSTS? |
| Ans.Yes you can.Click on any forum,then click on New Post, there you will see "what you see what you get editor",there you enter your subject and post and then click on insert.Your post will be sent.. |

| Ans.It contains applications for various posts in different NITs along with their details.. |
| Q.Can I add new apportunities? |
| Ans.Only the administrator of a particular college can edit the opportunities of his/her own college .But the super admin can edit the opportunities of any college.But all the administrators have power to add new opportunities.. |

| Q.Can a user put an event or news detail in the respective section of the site? |
| Ans. No, a user is not allowed to insert any news or event due to security reasons, only college moderators are permitted to do so. You may contact to your college moderators if you want them to insert any news or event for you. (List of college moderators is available in Team section.) |

| Q.How can I change my password? |
| Ans. You can change your password after logging in the site. A link has been provided to change the password in the view profile page. |
| Q.What happens if I lose my password? |
| Ans.Click on the 'forgot password' link. Now you will be required to fill in your user id and your date of birth. If the information provided is correct then your password will be changed and it will be sent on the email id provided by you within a few moments. |
| Q.What if I forget the User-id? |
| Ans.First of all click on "Problem signing in",then click on "Forgot User id".Now enter your Password and Date Of Birth.The User ID will be sent on your e-mail id.. |

| Q.What are the additional features which will be included on this site? |
| Ans.The site plans to include some add on benefits which will help it to achieve the twin goals of becoming more appealing to the users and also facilitating the easy exchange of information. This will help us serve the users better.
The facilities which will help enhance the site and which are in line to be implemented in the near future are: 1. Exchange of information with attachments 2. Video Conferencing & Voice over IP (VoIP) 3. Library resource sharing 4. On-line classrooms across the NITs through EDUSAT. These are the areas thought of in which we may push the envelope of information exchange. Further suggestions from the users are always welcome. |
| Q.Why this site??? |
| Ans. In an epoch making decision in the history of technical education in India the govt. stepped up the standards of 18 regional institutes to National Institutes of Technology with a view to instill in them a common bond of oneness and unity. But still the word NIT does not bring the feeling of oneness. The reasons for this are not far to seek and can be attributed as : - Although ceaseless efforts are being invested in the direction to improve education imparted in these institutes through TEQIP it lacks the networking and interaction among them. There is a want of a platform on a national level where students, faculty members, alumni and the people affiliated to these establishments can communicate their views, doubts and advices with each other. There is a lack of exchange of information between these institutes which gives rise to lesser awareness of the happenings in these institutes and hence lesser and insufficient participation in the technical and cultural festivals of these institutes. This site is aimed at providing the much needed discussion place and forums where the students and faculty members can present their ideas clearly. This would also help us in making a consensus on several issues of national interest and decide a policy on facts which are of major concern. Thus it would facilitate a strong interaction between the students and the faculty members through its forum section. We would also like to introduce separate sections on CAT, GRE and other competitive exams in the near future. Your suggestions and advices with regards to the betterment of this site are most welcome. |

You can share your project, views, experiences and you can pour in your novel ideas for the development of this site.You can also compile questions on GRE, CAT,GATE as well as questions on other competitive exams provide them to your institute moderators and they will post them on the site. Apart from that every registered member can directly put useful internet links on the site. |

| Ans. Yes, you can run a search for a student by filling in the details enquired in the student search form. However the person for whom the search is carried out must be a registered member as well as you should be logged in before carrying out the search. |

| Q.How do I send a message? |
| Ans.Only the logged in users are capable of sending messages.After logging in,go to the messages section of the personalised window.Click on the message link there.Now click on the COMPOSE button and now fill in the respective fields and send the message. |

| Ans.Write the username in the TO field.Ensure that you dont enter the e-mail id of the user. |
| Q.Can I send a message to multiple users at a time??? |
| Ans.No.We have purposefully restricted this service to avoid bulk forwards and other mass messages. |
